INTO OTHER WORLDS

by Green, R. L.

New York, 1958: AbelardSchuman, 190 pages, $3.75

This most interesting book traces the development and growth of the space flight concept in the fictional literature from "Lucian the Loftie Traveller" to the works of C. S. Lewis ("Out of the Silent Planet" and "Perelandra"). In between, the well-known writings of such authors as Francis Godwin, Cyrano de Bergerac, Jules Verne, Edgar Rice Burroughs, and others are discussed.
