Issue #20 of the journal of the American Interplanetary Society, Astronautics is published with David Lasser as editor. It features an article by Dr Edmund Woodman of New York University called "Exploring the Stratosphere". Other articles also include an explanation on Lunar Rays and the human ability to withstand high acceleration.

A Matter of Nerves a science fiction story by William Lemkin, co-founder of the American Interplanetary Society, is published in Hugo Gernsback's Amazing Stories magazine.
