Goddard's experiments, word from Marconi that he thinks Mars could be reached by a radio signal, a delay in Auguste Antoine Piccard's attempt to fly his balloon to more than 50,000 feet and a lecture by Society member Nathan Schachner on whether life exists on other planets in the solar system.

In 20,000 AD a science fiction story by American Interplanetary Society founder Nathaniel Schachner and Arthur Zagat appears in Thrilling Wonder Stories magazine.
