In 1814, A.D. Zasyadko began working on various types of combat rockets and in 1817, having developed several effective models, demonstrated them in St Petersburg. His rockets had a maximum range of 2,670 meters. The rockets were built in a pyrotechnical laboratory which he had set up in Mogilev. (Source: V.P. Glushko)
