The British Interplanetary Society publishes the one and only issue of the magazine The New Columbus. It is edited by Leslie J. Johnson and Eric Frank Russell. The magazine is designed to be an enlarged version of the Bulletin of the British Interplanetary Society and was to have replaced the Journal of the British Interplanetary Society. The new title for this enlarged Bulletin was chosen by the members on Dec 28 1934. The main purpose was to consolidate costs by combining the Bulletin and the Journal. In his book, which didn't appear until 2022, Johnson claimed that New Columbus was never circulated, and perhaps only two copies survived.
