Space Station -- Concept for orbiting space station developed by a team of scientists and engineers at Lockheed Missiles & Space company, Sunnyvale, California, with living quarters and control center; three zero-gravity modules for scientific, commercial, and other applications; and three open beam platforms interconnected by "shirt sleeve" air tubes. Each platform is positioned to allow 360° line of sight communications while leaving open flight paths for shuttles and other space vehicles.
