ARTIST CONCEPT: Space Station. This illustrations depicts one of the many task which the Space Plane will be called upon to perform. In this photo, a crewman who has been injured is transferred from a disabled Space Station. Transfer operations are underway approximately 120 nautical miles above the United Arab Republic directly over a well defined cirrus jet stream. Upon safe recovery of the injured crewman, the remaining station personnel will evacuate, using a lifeline as a tether.
