The Toronto Star runs a feature article on rocket space travel. It includes an interview with G. Edward Pendray of the American Rocket Society, a picture of Canadian engineer Maurice Poirier standing next to his model rocket, a solid fuel rocket launch carrying mail to the Isle of Wight in England and a staged image of a group of girls in bathing costumes posing with a fake rocket on Catalina Island, California.
