Yes, the ISS crewmembers have a long list of things they need to do to keep the ISS up and running. From inside the ISS they continually check out equipment to make sure it's functioning properly. They often have to make repairs on equipment in space as well. Also when the Space Shuttle visits the ISS, it takes a lot of high resolution pictures and video of the ISS to determine the outside condition of the Space Station.
