The current expectation is that if a person wants to have access technology for a computer, they need to provide the screen reader, note taker or Braille display. Therefore, if I want to use the Internet at a hotel, I bring my laptop or PDA which has its own screen reader. I expect that when I plug my device into the hotel's network, I will be able to use those services using my screen reader. Something like this might well apply one day in space. Access technology for computers can be quite complicated and different individuals prefer slightly different configurations. It is hoped that the networks and systems in a space hotel or spaceship would work with whatever access technology people are using. The approach of building universal access into the network and leaving the details to the user is cost effective and provides the greatest flexibility for everyone. ---- Answer provided by [[Mark A.
