Space travel is certainly a life-changing experience. After the births of my children, those were the most memorable days of my life. I worked forty years toward making my teenage goal a reality, and once we lifted off over the barren land of Kazakhstan I knew that I didn't regret a minute of the time that it took to get me up and on my way into space. Not a day goes by that I don't recall my eight days in space and draw inspiration from that experience.
