EXTERIOR BALLISTICS OF ROCKETS

by Davis, L., Jr., J. W. Follin, and L. Blitzer

Princeton (New Jersey), 1958: D. van Nostrand Co., Inc., 457 pages, $9.50

The basic theory of the exterior ballistics of rockets without moving control surfaces is developed. The book is divided into two main parts: (1) fin-stabilized rockets, and (2) spin-stabilized rockets. Typical chapters cover motion during burning, the launching process, and motion after burning. There are appendices: glossary of symbols; integrals, series and asymptotic expansions; and tables of Fresnel integrals and characteristic functions.
