British science writer Chapman Pincher and artist Bernard Venables produce a comic-strip about Wernher von Braun for the Daily Express newspaper. The story professes to explain how the Nazis intended to use space-based mirrors to terrorize enemy civilians. One of the panels shows the three-way satellite system proposed just three months earlier by Arthur C. Clarke in Wireless World magazine.
