Geoffrey I. Crouch, Ph.D.

Professor Crouch is chair of marketing in the School of Business, La Trobe University, Melbourne, Australia. Previously he held positions in the World Tourism Education and Research Centre at the University of Calgary, Canada, and the Graduate School of Management at Monash University, Australia. His research interests are tourism marketing—particularly destination marketing and competitiveness—tourist choice modeling, tourism psychology and consumer behavior, space tourism, and marketing research. He was an elected member of the Board of Directors of the Calgary Convention and Visitors Bureau, serves on a number of editorial review boards of scholarly journals, and is co-editor-in-chief of Tourism Analysis. He has published articles in leading journals including the Journal of Travel Research, Tourism Management, Annals of Tourism Research, and the Journal of Business Research. He is an elected Distinguished Fellow of the International Academy for the Study of Tourism and co-authored The Competitive Destination: A Sustainable Tourism Perspective.
