Matthew D. Upchurch, CTC,

Matthew Upchurch is CEO of Virtuoso Ltd a global travel industry network. Matthew is a world traveler and someone who had worn the hats of supplier and agent simultaneously. He envisioned a virtual corporation that would bring the two together. His goal was for each contingent to benefit the other, so both could offer travelers more satisfying life experiences. Today, his vision for Virtuoso has grown into a multi-billion-dollar, by-invitation-only enterprise, with members across the world. Upchurch is a member of the American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA) and received the 2004 ASTA Travel Hall of Fame award, was the first recipient of the "Leaders in Luxury" Award, and has been named one of the "25 Most Influential Executives In The Travel Industry" multiple times. He is still an avid traveler and, although he hasn't been to outer space yet, Upchurch has visited every Continent except Antarctica.
