SpaceWiki is in beta testing.

Spacewiki is a project of Apogee Books. Our intention is to provide an easy to use and familiar interface for people in the space community to document their work in an interactive format. The principal power of the Wiki concept, originated by Wikiwikiweb, is derived from its ability to allow multiple users to contribute content. Spacewiki is NOT an encyclopedia, although it may have some pages that have an encyclopedic appearance. It was originally conceived as an Almanac but has since evolved to include social networking functions, ecommerce, data storage and multimedia functions.

When fully operational Spacewiki will include personal pages for members of the space community where they can keep people up to date about their activities and appearances as well as sell books, ebooks, academic papers, audio recordings and video recordings.

Right from its inception, Spacewiki can be locked down so that no one can change the content of someone else's page. We feel this is important to the integrity of the material presented by the contributors.

It is our hope that experts in the aerospace field will use Spacewiki to share and interact with students and educators as well as peers in their respective fields.

Spacewiki's daily almanac of space news will provide an ongoing window into current events, which will also be linked to related subjects.

Spacewiki is still under construction.
