NASA astronauts wear clothing that is comfortable for them. The Space Shuttle can be rather cold and long pants and long-sleeved shirts are popular with the astronauts; at other times, when the spaceship is in the direct path of the Sun, they wear sports shirts and shorts. Because they are members of a team and dress alike, astronauts wear pants or shorts and shirts that are matching, clothes specially selected by the astronauts and a group of folks who manage clothing for each flight.
