03. Are we able to smoke in space? (A K2S Question)

Would the effects be the same as on Earth? (JC) Smoking is not allowed in US spacecraft. Besides the potential fire risk, smoke could set off the smoke detectors and the ash could contaminate equipment. Also ash would stay suspended in micro-gravity and could potentially be inhaled into an astronaut's lungs. Most astronauts are very concerned about their health and don't smoke anyway.
