03. How is the water collected? Where does the wastewater go? (A K2S Question)

On Skylab, it was picked up by the vacuum cleaner attachment and delivered to a special bag. We threw the wastewater bags into our trash can—a large 2,500 cubic feet-tank, which is roughly the size of a one-car garage. On the ISS, when and if we ever have a shower, the wastewater will be stored for return to ground by the Shuttle or burned up in re-entry by a Russian Progress freighter.
