Just imagine how much fun you would have on your birthday with all those birthday surprises and great gifts. Now imagine a parade of experiences that are all surprises and after the spaceflight experience is over will be gifts that last a lifetime. From the lift off and tremendous acceleration off the launch pad that pins you in your seat and makes it hard to take a breath or the sudden main engine cut off and immediate floating in space after only eight and a half minutes, to circling the globe every hour and a half, to the fiery hour-long re-entry and dead stick 'gliding' landing weeks later, spaceflight is such a magnificent and overwhelming collection of experiences that it's impossible to pick any one event. So many surprises—awesome sunrises and sunsets every forty five minutes, flying through the shimmering auroras, experiencing the stars—tens of thousands of them—and the Milky Way Galaxy like neon in the night sky, and then seeing this beautiful planet of ours—all while floating hundreds of miles above the Earth.
