A spaceport is any place where a space vehicle heads off into space, or returns from space. So, in the future, we can expect there to be spaceports on the Moon and Mars, for starters, for vehicles arriving from Earth, or heading back home again. You could even say that the International Space Station (ISS) is a kind of orbiting spaceport, because spacecraft keep arriving from Earth with supplies and replacement crews, and others are departing for the journey back to Earth.
