How many clothes you bring for your trip into space depends upon how long your mission is and also how much booster power your rocket has to put you into space. The astronauts are limited in the number of personal things they can take aboard the Space Shuttle due to the weight limitations. Astronauts have what is known as their personal preference kits (PPK) that contain memorabilia and other personal items. These are limited to two pounds for each crewmember. All other personal types of items are supplied by NASA. I am sure that when you get ready to go, people will advise you on what to take and what not to take. You do not want to pack too much but at the same time you need to take the necessary things with you because you cannot go home or to the store to get these things later.
