07. Do any satellites have to be rescued if they fall out of orbit? Or, do they just fall and burn up in Earth's atmosphere? (A K2S Question)
From The Space Library
Satellites in low Earth orbits will burn up as they re-enter the atmosphere at the end of their lives. Sometimes, very large and expensive satellites, like the Hubble Space Telescope, can be given a re-boost to return them to a higher orbit and so extend their lives.
