07. How many miles per hour does an average rocket go? (A K2S Question)
From The Space Library
There is no average mile per hour. It depends on where you want to go with your rocket. There are minimum speeds that a rocket must travel to do certain things, depending on how fast we want to get there. Each thing we want to do is different. For example: to orbit: 17,000 mph; to get to the Moon: 25,000 mph.
