07. How much does it cost to build and send the average robot to space? (A K2S Question)
From The Space Library
Today there is no such thing as an average robot. Each is built separately for each mission. The cost of launching one pound to the ISS is $5,000. Launching the Mars rovers, Spirit and Opportunity, cost much more. Each of those rovers were built and launched for $500 million apiece!
