Few cats have been sent to space. France launched a black and white female tomcat in 1963 on a Veronique AGI sounding rocket No. 47 from Algeria. Hence, with developed technologies, cats can be protected against the harsh g-forces during lift off. However, cats need to undergo sufficient training, need to be fit and overcome the most common problem among astronaut-trained cats—overeating!
