On long-duration flights, personal grooming also requires periodic haircuts and nail clipping. Loose hair released during haircuts can be captured using a vacuum cleaner, and nail clippings can be controlled by clipping fingernails and toenails in a small bag or container. On Skylab we had a special area in the bathroom that sucked the loose hair onto a filter screen, which was then cleaned off with a vacuum cleaner. This also worked for nail clippings.
