You never get sucked into a black hole but scientists can use Einstein's theory of relativity to determine that if you come within three times its Schwarzschild radius, you will never break free of its gravity. Karl Schwarzschild was the scientist who first used Einstein's equations to mathematically determine that the radius to the event horizon of a black hole is solely dependent on its mass.
