09. What is the chance of getting hit by an asteroid in space? (A K2S Question)
From The Space Library
The chances of getting hit by any kind of large asteroid are very, very slim. You are just as likely to be hit by an asteroid in space as you are here on Earth. For much smaller objects—those that are a few inches across, for example—the odds are small, but it is possible.
