10. Will cell phones work in space to call someone on Earth? To call someone else in space? (A K2S Question)

Cell phones do not work in space because cell phones are Earth based and need a system of Earth antennas to transmit signals. Since the spaceship is traveling around the Earth at about 25,000 miles per hour, the cell phone system would not be in range. However, who knows what new inventions are out there in the future for future spacefarers?
