The best utensil to use in space is a fork. Liquids won't stay in a spoon any more than they'll stay in a cup or bowl, so we drink them through straws. Knives require a cutting surface like a plate or table, neither of which we have room to store, or a place to clean. So we eat everything solid with a fork, or with our hands, straight from the packet!
