Crewmembers perform various experiments during the flight— depending on the specific mission. Our primary payload was three ultraviolet (UV) light sensitive telescopes (as contrasted with visible light). They were mounted together—same line-of-sight—in the payload bay and we pointed them toward distant galaxies. We also took along and worked on a group of smaller experiments inside the cabin. A complete description of the mission and all the payloads may be found on the NASA website for our mission, STS-67.
