12. How can we eat and drink when everything is floating around? Can we float and eat at the same time? (A K2S Question)

Actually, eating and drinking are easy. Your mouth chews the food, and then your body actually moves the food to your stomach. If you want, try to do a headstand against the wall, have a friend help you so that you don't fall, and then try to drink from a cup. No problem! And that is actually drinking uphill against one-gravity. In space, there is no net force. Most of our food on the Space Shuttle was packaged in plastic containers. We would cut open part of the top of the container and use a spoon or fork to get one mouthful at a time. These containers are held in place on a tray, like a TV tray table with clips. You can indeed float and eat at the same time.
