Life is only known to exist on Earth at present due to the optimal conditions of having just the right amount of heat (warmth and insulation) from the Sun and a protective environment and atmosphere that keep the various forms of harmful radiation, galactic cosmic radiation, charged particles and solar particles out. Life is also attributed to the formation of liquid water on Earth. The gaseous mixture of life-forming and sustaining gases, liquid water, and minerals are only currently seen on Earth. While many scientists argue that it is possible that icewater is present on different planets and that their moons may contain life or could have contained life, no evidence of macroscopic life has been found to date. Hence, there are no insects that live on any planets.
