13. When would this space world be created? How long until an actively living community is built in space or away from Earth on another planet? In our own lifetimes? (A K2S Question)

From now on, more and more people will be going into Earth orbit and to the Moon. Some will stay for a few weeks while others will stay for over a year. By 2040 there should be more than fifty countries and companies sending people off-world, with hundreds being away at a single time, and then thousands living in a wide variety of exciting communities.
