Ownership of discovered or recovered resources will probably depend on the interpretation of the 1967 Outer Space Treaty and whatever international laws are created for whatever property rights issues arise from our exploration of space. We will probably see that whatever a country or a commercial entity can bring home will be theirs for their own benefit and hopefully, the benefit of all mankind. This will be decided by various legal organizations such as the Committee for the Peaceful Use of Outer Space (COPUOS) of the United Nations, and other space law bodies such as the International Astronautical Federation's (IAF) International Institute of Space Law (IISL).
