14. Will any food be served while traveling to space? Is it possible to eat anything during launch or landing? (A K2S Question)
From The Space Library
(CC) Food is not served during launch. We keep our visors down during lift off in the unlikely event of a cabin depressurization during launch and so it is impossible to eat anything. To my knowledge, I do not know of any astronauts who eat or chew anything during launch or landing. Right after landing, however, I did manage to get into the lockers to grab some chocolate-covered espresso beans before the crew came to open up the hatch!
