No, not entirely. Playing 3D video games, helps when learning to control robots in space. Humans who control robots in space need to do so with camera views of the robot, or maybe just using the cameras on board the robot. It is a very challenging task, and it is very similar to controlling a character in a video game. It is also similar to flying a real plane.
