16. If we get hit, will it kill us? (A K2S Question)

Whether an asteroid hit would kill us or not depends upon how large it might be and where we might be when it hits. A very large asteroid (a few miles across) would cause damage over the entire planet; a smaller asteroid (a hundred feet across) would cause damage over a local area but wouldn't affect people who live far away from the impact site.
