17. When we go outside for spacewalks and to explore, how do our spacesuits store and provide us with oxygen? How much air does a spacesuit hold? Is the length of time one can stay outside determined by the oxygen supply? (LM) (A K2S Question)

Oxygen is normally stored as a liquid for compactness due to the space limitation within the EVA suits. The EVA suits are designed for eight hours duration and astronauts normally do not spend more than about six hours outside doing an EVA. Also, there is emergency O2 available for a possible leak in the suit.
