18. What are the procedures for evacuating the International Space Station? (A K2S Question)

The ISS crew, in the event of an emergency requiring that they vacate the Station, would use the three-person Soyuz spacecraft docked to the Station to return to Earth. The Soyuz is replaced with a new one every six months. A transfer crew ferries the new vehicle to the ISS, then returns to Earth after a few days' visit in the older one.
