When people are in space, it is as if they stopped doing any exercise because they are not working against gravity. This would be similar to people who decide to sit in a chair all day without getting up, or lie in bed all day. Therefore, if they ate the same amount of food, they should be fatter. They would also be taller by one to three inches, since the spine stretches if it is not pulled down by gravity.
