There is some body stress called g-forces that crews encounter while rocketing into space, but NASA engineers have minimized the effects from these forces by having all astronauts recline in custom-designed cushioned couches during the lift off phase so these forces can be better tolerated. In space, about one-third of astronauts sometimes experience severe nausea which can cause them to throw up and be very sick to their stomachs—this is traceable to the effects of being in a micro-gravity environment and floating freely in space. And there can be some unpleasant symptoms caused by fluids rushing to the head, which causes one's face to become bloated. Astronauts actually feel like they are stuffy from a head cold! But once the body becomes used to its new surroundings, it becomes easy to appreciate the simple pleasures of floating in space as you free fall in an orbit around Earth!
