We will likely need some sort of orbiting spaceport for LEO that would be similar to an airport here on Earth. We will likely need facilities in space to deal with the remoteness of human settlements and to deal with the great distances and times between various locations in space. It is likely that we will eventually want to create a gravity station that provides a more Earth-like gravity so that we don't spend all of our time floating around in zero-gravity or making great leaps in reduced gravity. But there are likely to be new problems that we have not even thought of yet which will require new solutions including, but not limited to, new facilities. We should expect some exciting surprises in this area.
