Wearing the helmets and spacesuits is something that the astronauts practice in water in the NBL. It is just like a football player who gets used to wearing the helmet and all those pads. The helmet and pads for the football player are just like the suit the astronaut wears. They protect the wearer. Who knows? Maybe you will be that scientist who invents a way to supply oxygen without wearing the spacesuits. Whatever it is, there must be some apparatus that will do that for us because there is no oxygen on the Moon or on Mars.
