27. How long can you survive without your helmet? Will we have to wear helmets in the future? (A K2S Question)

You cannot survive an instant without the helmet. Without the pressurization that the suit and helmet provide, you would not survive the extreme and sudden loss of pressurization. On Earth, we are used to the 14.7 pounds of pressure that the Earth environment gives us. To survive outside this environment, we must have that same pressure. Even if the loss of pressurization did not get us, the loss of oxygen and the ability to breathe would be fatal.
