Scientists use the term universe to describe everything that exists, including all the stars as well as the hundreds of billions of galaxies containing stars, as well as our Universe. Cosmologists, scientists who study the history of the formation of our Universe, have developed some mathematical models that allow for the existence of our multi-dimensional Universe along with the existence of other universes, but there is no way to discover if these really exist.
