Space travel by its very nature is dangerous. Space designers do their best to make things safe, by thinking ahead about problems one might face in a space environment, adding safety factors into their calculations, and creating systems redundancy. Space tourists or astronauts will also need to be properly trained so they can learn how to handle difficult situations especially in space where outside help is unavailable.
