30. How many craters are on the Moon? (A K2S Question)

No one will ever know, because no matter how closely we look we keep finding smaller and smaller craters. Even Moon rocks and craters have craters on them, often called zap pits. One thing we do want to do on the Moon is count the craters of different sizes, and try to get a date of when they happened. This impact record will tell us a lot about when asteroids have likely hit the Earth in the past as well.
