31. For space hotels and space houses of the future, would there be any need for such things as stairs or beds? (A K2S Question)

There is no need for stairs, but beds—actually sleeping compartments— are nice. You actually sleep better if you are slightly restrained during sleep. On the Shuttle and International Space Station, we have sleeping bags that are attached to the floor or walls. This keeps you from floating during sleep since, if you bump into something, it tends to wake you up.
